Notes

Chrome and IE users may experience the following issues related to opening some of the above documents.

• Chrome—Due to known issues with Google's Chrome browser and HTML generated by certain help authoring tools, to open the HTML version of Linux Driver Package Developers' Guide in a Chrome browser, the browser must be launched via the command line using a switch, as follows:

  path_to_chrome\chrome.exe --allow-file-access-from-files

• Internet Explorer 8—there are known issues with launching Adobe Acrobat PDFs from HTML pages. You can configure IE to use Acrobat Reader to open PDF files. First close IE, and then open Acrobat Reader. Under Edit > Preferences, select Internet and then clear the Display PDF in Browser option. Now restart IE.
